Episode Details

Synopsis Bud Browne was on the scene when the boards were made of wood and weighed 90 pounds, and everyone went from A to B in a straight line. From these warm Hawaiian settings, Browne invented the surf movie -- and he did it with style and humor. Browne took his film and projector from town to town, and did live narration for each showing. He was the original.
